Summer Solstice Sizzle

We made it! Two graduations, Four end of school parties, and a lot of running around.

It was a very hot occassion, with a dramatic "someone call 911" during the student speeches. An elderly man passed out it was so hot and stuffy in the school gym, people were standing it was so full. The principal had to tell everyone not to move and stay calm, everyone did, but the stress level raised the temp. and added to the odd feeling that was already in the room.

Ford said to Madeline "what is with Thurston? Every time parents go to that school 911 has to be called." When we went to Open House in May someone's grandma had a heart issue in the parking lot.

The evening ended with a bonfire at Emerald Bay beach hosted by us and two other families. It was a fun night with all of Mad's closest school friends. They had a ceremonial burning of their school work. They were down right passionate about burning their papers and had fun reading some of their scores. They are all honor students so it was hilarious to find a 50/100 every now and again.
