Mexico Spring Break

We are back from our spring break trip to Mexico.
We went to Manzanillo and stayed in a somewhat remote area. We needed a driver to get around and visit the small coastal towns surrounding the resort.

Manzanillo is at the same latitude as the Hawaiin Islands so there was a lot of tropical agriculture: Coconut palms, bananas, pineapples, mangoes, jalepenos etc.

We came to this resort with some friends that own and come here a lot.

A favorite activity was visiting the crocodile preserve in La Manzanilla. I am certain I will never be closer to a crocodile again.
The only thing seperating us from these massive crocs was a flimsly chain-link fence. We counted about 20 swimming in the pond and on the banks.

We were given fish to feed them. I think they are so well fed they aren't interested in the visitors, in fact they seemed to be lazy about their food. If you didn't get
the fish right next to them they wouldn't bother. Derik had to find a long stick to fling it next to their mouths.

There were some crocs in an enclosed area. They looked to be sick or old. One was missing all of his teeth. He just swallowed the fish whole. They rested with their mouths open like this.

The group of friends we went with.

Grace and Lola had a great time going on adventures and playing in the pool.

There was so much color and culture. I had a great time and so did the family!
